Riverdale II

Quick, start walking really fast....we're in the Bronx again

Riverdale is Considered by many to be the loveliest neighborhood in New York City, it has been called “country in the city” because it maintains a suburban ambiance while being part of the world’s greatest metropolis. Riverdale boasts a wide range of homes, from handsome old estates and elegant mansions to modern houses and high-rise apartments.

Fieldston is a private community of approximately 250 homes. The homeowners are all members of the Fieldston Property Owners Association, Inc. that was formed about 78 years ago. Fieldston has its own private security company and the streets of Fieldston are private - not owned by New York City. Residents of Fieldston pay dues to the FPOA and the dues are primarily calculated based on the frontage.

Many of the homes in Fieldston were designed by Dwight James Baum in the 1920s.

Fieldston sits on one of the highest points in New York City. It is bordered on the south by Manhattan College Parkway, on the west by Henry Hudson Parkway, on the east by Tibbett Avenue and on the north at about 252 Street. Contiguous to Fieldston are the famous private schools - Riverdale Country School, Fieldston School and Horace Mann. Fieldston is elegant and expensive.
